'Stables Cottage' is much loved. Highly rated across review platforms with many returning guests, we're confident that the vast majority of people will appreciate, 'the Stables',  and the fact that because we're independent of the online booking companies, we can offer very competitive rates.

We will advise on parking, but expect that it might be a challenge at the busiest of times. The cottage benefits from being located at the side of the town that doesn't require parking permits, but if at the busiest of times street parking isn't possible, the savings on the cottage will likely more than cover the cost of paid parking.

The lounge and bedroom nook area is largely beneath ground level, so despite the light well and the light from the kitchen windows and door, there isn't a huge amount of natural light in that part of the property. Not a problem for the vast majority of people, unless perhaps you're planning to spend a lot of time in the lounge/bedroom nook area during the day.

Stables cottage is spacious for a one bed accommodation, but doesn't feature a garden or a Wi-Fi connection...please see Wren cottage if these points are a 'must have'.

The cottage is a ground floor flat in style, with it's own entrance, but there are unrelated properties above which are both residential and holiday letting. As a result, if there is noise above, you will hear it. Thankfully problems have been few and far between, but it's something to consider f you are someone that has to have silence.

A maximum of 3 clean, well-behaved pets are allowed, please don't leave them alone in the cottage alone and try to make it clear to them that the bed and the sofa are off limits.

If you are very allergic to pets, please look elsewhere.

The ceiling in the shower room is lower than the rest of the cottage, but you won't need to do any bending in there unless you're over 6 ft 2 or about 2 metres in height.

We supply hand towels and a tea towel but please bring your own towels for showering.
